What are Fruit Dragons?

Fruit dragons are exactly what they seem, fruits that are dragons! Hatching from the fruit they resemble, do they taste like the fruit they hatch from? I wouldn't try! Why would you? They are too adorable! But just in case, they all live happily in a safe oasis protected by the fruit dragon king, the Dragon Fruit dragon!

These dragons come from the mini comic series, Fruit Dragons, created and illustrated by The Kao. The story follows Gogo, a mango dragon, who ventures out to find his fellow lost fruit dragons that were scattered across different realms.

How it came to be

The series began from the introduction of the first fruit dragon in The Kao's Mondo Mango comic series where one day, a seemingly ordinary mango fruit from the market had suddenly hatched into a dragon. Without question, the baby mango dragon was adopted and named, Gogo where he quickly became a big part of the family and mascot of the series. Since then, Kao has expanded the fruit dragon family, introducing the King of all Fruit Dragons and an alphabet worth of new dragons in his new series and book, Fruit Dragons: From A to Z.
